Incoming first-year students for the fall semester are awarded scholarships on the Rutgers-Camden campus on the basis of academic performance in high school. First-year students who apply and complete their application for admission by the priority deadline of Dec. 1 are automatically considered for merit-based awards. |

UNIVERSITY SCHOLARS
Students with SATs from 1300-1600 and percentile class rank between the 85th and 100th percentiles are eligible for University Scholarships awarded in variable amounts from $2,500 to $20,175. These students will be automatically invited to enroll in the Rutgers-Camden Honors College. More information about this program is available online.

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIPS
These awards are made to high-achieving first-year full time students who meet scholarships standards. Students who meet these criteria, based primarily on SATs and class rank, will be offered and Academic Excellence Scholarship. These students will be automatically invited to enroll in the Rutgers-Camden Honors College.
All students with an outstanding academic record will be reviewed for scholarship eligibility.
Students who fall outside of these parameters but have an outstanding academic record will be reviewed for scholarship eligibility.

Scholarships of varying amounts are available to bright and talented students who choose Rutgers-Camden for their college education. In order to be considered for these scholarships, students are required to apply by the priority deadline of December 1, 2009.
In addition to the scholarships described above, scholarships are awarded to a select group of students based on their potential contribution to Rutgers’ vibrant and diverse community. We include the following in our assessment: academic credentials, specialized talents, extracurricular activities, leadership, community service, work experience, awards, honors, and criteria such as socioeconomic background, attendance in New Jersey’s Abbott School Districts, and the relevance of the response to the essay question which must be submitted with the application.
