The Academic Transitions Program (ATP) provides first-year students with additional academic support services to aid in their adjustment to the demands of university study. ATP students are provided with the same access to university and campus services as all undergraduate students. ATP students schedule classes in the same fashion as other Rutgers-Camden students (with a limit of twelve credits per semester in the first year) and can choose the same options in terms of campus residence and extracurricular activities. After successfully completing their first year of study, ATP students automatically become part of the Camden College of Arts and Sciences.

  • ATP students are advised through the office of the Associate Dean for University College. For more information on advising and course selection, contact (856) 225-6107 or e-mail ntursi@camden.rutgers.edu or chrdou@camden.rutgers.edu.

  • Students accepted to ATP need to confirm their attendance and follow the enrollment guidelines provided by the Office of Academic Advising (FAS). Please visit the following site for additional information:http://advising.camden.rutgers.edu/students/freshmen.html

  • ATP students are strongly encouraged to attend the "Keys to Success" orientation sessions held in late spring or early summer. This program will introduce new students to the college and provide guidance in selecting classes. ATP students who have confirmed attendance will be contacted regarding available dates for "Keys to Success."

Admitted ATP students are encouraged to contact the Office of the Associate Dean for University College with any additional questions by e-mailing ntursi@camden.rutgers.edu or chrdou@camden.rutgers.edu or phoning (856) 225-6107.
